Warranty Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Every new product sold on MaterialHandling.com is covered by its manufacturer's factory warranty. As an authorized dealer, we facilitate all warranty claims for you — you never have to fight the factory alone. This page explains what's covered, what isn't, how to file a claim, and summarizes each manufacturer's coverage.
How Manufacturer Warranties Work
- Warranties cover defects in material and workmanship under correct use, normal operating conditions, and proper application — measured from the date of shipment (or original purchase, per the manufacturer's terms).
- The manufacturer's remedy is repair or replacement of the defective product or component (at the manufacturer's option), typically FOB the manufacturer's factory. Manufacturers may inspect the product at your location or require it returned freight-prepaid for technical validation.
- Components not made by the equipment manufacturer (motors, batteries, hydraulic pumps, casters from third parties) may carry the original component manufacturer's warranty instead.
- Warranties are generally extended to the original purchaser and are non-transferable unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
What Warranties Do Not Cover
- Freight damage (see our Freight & Shipping Policy — transit damage is a carrier claim, not a warranty claim, and must be reported within 24 hours of delivery).
- Normal wear items — wheels, casters, brushes, batteries past their separate coverage, paint, decals.
- Damage from accident, abuse, misuse, overloading beyond rated capacity, corrosive environments, or lack of required maintenance.
- Products altered, modified, or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized representative.
- Use of a product for anything other than its intended function.
- Incidental or consequential damages (downtime, lost production). Manufacturer liability is limited to the price of the goods.
Manufacturer Warranty Summary
The table below summarizes standard published coverage for our largest brands. The manufacturer's current published warranty always governs; coverage on a specific model may differ (some models carry shorter wear-part terms). Ask us for the exact warranty on any product before you buy.
| Vestil Manufacturing | Coverage is component-specific by product line: commonly 1 year on drive and lift system components and 90 days on wearing parts; certain models carry 15/30/90-day terms on specific components. Warranty service requires technical validation at the factory (Angola, IN). |
|---|---|
| Valley Craft | 1 year from date of shipment against defects in material and workmanship. Repair or exchange at Valley Craft's option, FOB factory (Lake City, MN). Third-party components carry their original manufacturer's warranty. |
| Ballymore / Tri-Arc | 1 year following the date of shipment against defects in material and workmanship on goods of its manufacture (Coatesville, PA). |
| Akro-Mils | 1-year limited warranty; bins guaranteed not to crack or break under normal load conditions (Akron, OH). |
| EKKO Lifts | 3-year / 6,000-hour limited warranty on new EKKO equipment (structural and major components; electrical/hydraulic components carry shorter terms per EKKO's published schedule). Support from Pomona, CA. |
| Vikan | Hygienic cleaning tools backed by Vikan's quality guarantee and Declarations of Compliance for food-contact safety. Defective tools are replaced. North America support from Zionsville, IN. |
| Bishamon | Manufacturer limited warranty on lift equipment (typically 1–2 years depending on product line; hydraulic components per published schedule). |
| Presto Lifts, Southworth, Big Joe, Eoslift, Lift Rite, Mighty Lift, ORBIS, Dolav, Monoflo, Lantech, Interthor, Wesley, Ravas | Covered by each manufacturer's standard published limited warranty — contact us for the current coverage document for a specific model. |
| Premier Handling Solutions (PHS) | New PHS-branded products: 1-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Recycled/reconditioned pallets and containers are sold as inspected-grade material; contact us about any grading discrepancy within 5 business days of receipt. |
How to File a Warranty Claim
- Gather your order number, the product model and serial number (if applicable), photos or video of the issue, and a short description of how the product was being used.
- Contact us at [email protected] or (855) 719-1415. We open the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf.
- The manufacturer validates the defect (remotely via photos, on-site inspection, or factory return) and issues repair parts, a repair authorization, or a replacement per its warranty terms.
- We stay on the claim until it's resolved and keep you updated throughout.
Tip: do not attempt repairs or modifications before the claim is validated — unauthorized repair voids most factory warranties.
